Peter Gathuka is an Assistant Registrar with over thirty years’ experience in Administration and Management of non- academic functions of the University of Nairobi. He is currently enrolled for doctoral studies in Project Monitoring and Evaluation at the University, holds a Master of Arts degree in Project Planning and Management and a Bachelor of Psychology degree – all from the University of Nairobi. He is a full member of the Kenya Institute of Management, has been awarded a Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology and has previous knowledge and experience in Health Care Management / programme implementation, having worked as the Hospital Administrator of the University Health Services in previous deployment.
He has effectively participated in management of Research Projects at the University under collaboration and partnership with local and international agencies, that include the following:- UN Environment (UNEP), Ford Foundation, Open Society Initiative (OSI), Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD), The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture ( RUFORUM), International Research Development Centre (IDRC), among others.
He is currently assisting in the establishment and full implementation of the Maritime Centre as the Project Administrator.
